HP/FIRST SERVE WARM-UPS FOR 2007

After picking up the new warm-ups for the tournament team for
the new year (2007) , I remembered the joy of tennis teams with the
same uniform. They may not become the number one player in the state,
nation, or even world, but they look good in this world.

DO NOT FEAR OR WISH FOR YOUR LAST DAY

This statement could not mean more to anyone than to Hunters Point Tennis Program
at Bayview Boys and Girls club. After hearing that the Hunters Point Boys and Girls
Club was closing and that the office of Youth Tennis Advantage had to move out of the
club did not mean the last day of tennis at Hunters Point. For the MCP of the NORCAL
USTA gave a grant to the tennis director (Thomas White) to attend the USTA TEACHERS
CONFERENCE at the US OPEN in NY (note smile). Therefore HP TENNIS will be content
with what we are and perfer nothing to it, and do not fear or wish for our last day.

HUNTERS POINT HEAD COACH/LINDA PAULDING

Come and we will tell you of our Head Coach Linda Paulding. While getting prizes and gifts
for juniors that did not get to the Championships at Stanford made sure that these prizes and
gifts were given during the Tennis Jam that YTA promoted. This was indeed a fantastic
gesture that our staff will always put our site members first, for as the event was promoted
to have these things it just was not true.

Linda, again thank you.

HP MEMBER RETURNS TO PASS ON SKILLS LEARNED

It is indeed a pleasure to have a player that has lived his childhood in Hunters Point Bayview
district of San Francisco to go off to college and return to share his skills and now college
experience with the upcoming juniors. For Coltyce Sanders has indeed returned for summer
break to assist his coach and the site he grew up in. He attends A&T University. Here we
are with his car he purchased to get around for the summer. We are most proud.
