Most days we want the juniors to smile, and when they competed and won that is when
the smiles came.

It is a joy to see the juniors get their first trophy with such pride. It will not be the last as they now know how and that will make a great difference between coming in second in anything life brings them.

I was reminded by a friend of the good time we had while at Hunters Point, and now that his site was closed by YTA, I'll continue to publish pictures of the great years that I spent there (10). Lets start off with my friend Rich who helped in a time I needed help.

I Often Wonder About The Old YTA Site

Even though, I've only been away from Hunters Point for about three years, I often wonder about the juniors that attended the site and if any of them are still playing and more so if they are using their life skills learned?

Leaving Hunter Point in the hands of a junior that grew up here Renee Tucker, hope he will continue the dream that was Arthur Ashes (to provide a place that kids can come and learn the game of tennis.

at Berkley Tennis Club. You rock.

Hunters Point Forever

As the Fall Season for Youth Tennis Advantage is about to start, I'm looking forward
to Directing the U.C. Berkley site on campus and further providing a place where
the juniors can continue to grow in this game of tennis. I'll miss those that I leave behind, but know that there will allways be a place for them to come to.

YTAs Hunters Point Site with the Willie Mays Boys & Girls Club

As the summer tennis at Hunters Point 2008 comes to a close we look forward to the
school year, the Willie Mays Boys & Girls Club learned and had a fun time and will
continue to learn and use skill learned while in tennis. Untill we meet again.

Summer Tennis at Hunters Point near the end 2008

Next week the 7th of August will began the end of the summer programming with
a large Tennis Rally at the Golden Gate Park with over 500 juniors with a day
of fun and prizes. Its great to see the juniors meet and have the chance to
show of their skills learned over the summer. I would like to thank Royale for
his help with the session.

Ismaeel off to Washington D.C.

We were proud to have one of our own from Hunters Point to attend the leadership
camp to be held in Wahington D.C. We know Ismaeel will do well and pave the way
for more to follow.

Bank of the West Kids Dinner 2008

Todays Kids Dinner at the Bank of the West was great, we only took one junior Sharnay
and her mother and they had a great time and even got Serenas autograph and took a
picture with Mr. Williams.

TODAYS MATCH WITH THE CAL CLUB TEAM OPENER FOR THE 2008 SEASON WAS INDEED A
GREAT MATCH THAT WILL ALLOW US TO AJUST OUR LINE UP FOR MATCH PLAY. WITH THREE (3)
TIE-BREAKERS WAS INDEED A MATCH TO NOW RESTRUCTURE MATCH PLANNING. MARSAE SCOTT WAS
THAT SINGLE WINNER WITH ANDREW SMITH AND YASHIM MUHAMMAD PLAYING GREAT TENNIS IN TIE-
BREAKERS. NEXT MATCHES ON FRIDAY WILL BE 1:30 PM AND 3:OO PM. HERE WE GO.

Hunters Point Tennis Summer 2008

Here we go again with the Summer Tennis at Hunters Point 2008. With the new
juniors participating from Burdette and the New Boys and Girls Club of America
attending we are looking forward to some good players. We will also start our
2008 summer Team Tennis with the Hunters Point First Servers at Golden Gate
Park on July 15th. So if you have the time come out and support the team.

With the 2008 Marin Doubles event for YTA was a great success with Rosie and
our First Serve junior Tyronda Starks (Clark Atlanta Univ. and Renee Tucker) home
for the summer to assist.

Hunters Point again found a reason to be proud as one of its own graduated from college and will continue his recreational skills throughout the communities of
ca. We wish him the best and to allways remember where he came from.
